Do I need to stake my driveway?

When your driveway is covered in snow, it can be difficult for providers to see the exact perimeter of the pavement. Properly placed stakes act as a guide, helping providers:

• Identify boundaries: Clearly mark where the pavement ends and the lawn or landscaping begins.

• Avoid damage: Significantly reduce the risk of accidental turf damage, plow scrapes to curbs, or impact with hidden obstacles.

• Increase efficiency: Help your provider clear the area more quickly and accurately.

Per our Terms of Service, LawnGuru is not liable for property damage occurring during snow removal. Because snow can hide the edges of your driveway, marking the perimeter is the best way for you to ensure your property remains protected.
