What is the star rating?

LawnGuru is a community-driven platform powered by local companies and family businesses. To ensure high standards and professional service, we use a Star Rating system that holds every provider accountable for the work they perform.

After a service is completed, the rating option will appear the next time you open the LawnGuru app.

• The Scale: Ratings range from 1 Star (Very Poor) to 5 Stars (Excellent).

• The Impact: Your feedback directly affects a provider's future on the platform. To maintain a high-quality network, providers whose average rating falls below 4.0 stars are removed from the LawnGuru community.

To keep the system fair, we ask that you base your rating solely on the performance of the professional who actually serviced your property.

• Rate the work, not the process: If your original provider was unable to make it and a new pro stepped in to help, please rate the new pro on the quality of their work.

• Automated Accountability: You do not need to lower a star rating to report a delay or a reassignment. Our system automatically penalizes providers for overdue jobs or releasing assignments.

• Be Objective: Consider the quality of the cut, the attention to detail (trimming and blowing), and whether they followed your specific property instructions.

We encourage honest, constructive reviews. If you have specific feedback that goes beyond a star rating—whether it's a compliment for a job well done or a concern that needs addressing—our support team is here to manage those details personally.
