Special Jobs are one-time requests that may include a variety of work such as Yard Clean Ups, Aeration, Sprinkler Winterization, Mulch Spreading, Bed Weeding, Hedge Trimming and more.
Providers are able to submit quotes when a special job becomes available on the Job Board. Quotes must always be submitted through the LawnGuru app. Delivering a quote directly to a customer is a violation of LawnGurus Provider terms of service and will result in removal from the LawnGuru platform.
Viewing Special Jobs
Providers will receive new job alerts when a special job becomes available within their service area. To view job details, providers can tap on the orange circle icon on the map or select the job from the list view of the 'Claim' screen.
Details including location, photos, and service description are displayed after tapping on a job. It's important to read and understand all aspects of the job before submitting a quote. You can modify or cancel your quote before the customer approves it, but once the job is accepted, the details are locked in.
Yard Cleanups are to account for the entire property unless the description states otherwise regardless of what is mapped out for the customer's lawn. For example, if a customer's front yard is all that is mapped out for a yard cleanup request, but the description says, "Front, back, and side yard", the service would include the full property, not just the front yard. Some jobs may require visiting the property before submitting a quote and as always, if you have questions regarding the job, please contact LawnGuru Provider Support.
Submitting A Quote
When you're ready to submit a quote, there are just a few simple steps.
- Read the description of the job and view any photos to make sure you understand everything involved
- Tap the 'QUOTE JOB' button
- Enter your price
- Select the day you're able to perform the work
- Tap the Green Arrow to continue
- If you want to send an introductory message to the customer, you'll be given the option to here. This is NOT a place to send pricing information or to remove any details from the customer's order
Make sure to include the cost of all materials within your quote. For example, a mulch spreading quote should include the cost of mulch and the labor to install. You will be responsible for all upfront material costs unless otherwise specified in their quote.
The quote you submit will be directly texted & emailed to the customer. The price the customer sees includes LawnGuru's processing fees. To keep LawnGuru free for our Providers and pay you directly, processing fees are fixed into the cost of each therefore the cost may be higher than the price you entered to accommodate this. Again, please do not disclose pricing.
If the customer accepts your quote you'll receive a text confirmation and the job will be added to your Route Sheet for the scheduled date. If the customer rejects your quote, you will receive a text notification with their reasoning and you may resubmit a new quote if you would like.
If you need to modify the Service Date of a Special Job, please message your customer directly within the app and inform LawnGuru Support.
