AutoPlow jobs are pre-scheduled snow removal services for customers who want snow clearing whenever snowfall exceeds a light dusting. As a Provider, you can create an AutoPlow route, which includes jobs that will automatically be assigned to you whenever snowfall in the designated areas meet the required threshold.
If your AutoPlow route isn't activated by LawnGuru but you anticipate or receive enough snow, you can use the Request AutoPlow Activation tool to let us know activation is needed.
Key Details:
- Timeliness of Service: For standard snow storms, AutoPlow services must be completed within 6 hours of the storm's end. While LawnGuru typically notifies Providers when the storm has ended, the exact timing may vary depending on your location. It’s important to monitor local weather forecasts and begin clearing snow as soon as the storm subsides.
- Multiple Activations: In cases of heavier snowfall, AutoPlow services may be activated multiple times during the storm. Providers will be notified of each activation and will receive payment for each individual clearing.
- Avoid Servicing Too Early: Servicing customers too early, which may result in additional snow accumulation over their service area, will lead to a full refund for the service unless LawnGuru directs you to clear snow early during a multi-activation event. Always ensure you're following the proper timing.
- Managing Your Route: It’s important not to over-commit to AutoPlow jobs. All AutoPlow services must be completed within the 6-hour window after the storm ends. Consider AutoPlow jobs as the foundation of your route, but remain flexible and open to picking up additional on-demand jobs as they become available throughout the storm. There will likely be many nearby on-demand jobs you can add, helping you maximize your earnings during a snow event!
