What happens during multi-day or extended snow storms?

Edited

Significant winter storms present unique challenges for everyone. When a storm lasts for several days or results in extreme accumulation, our goal is to keep your property accessible while ensuring the safety of our providers.

Extended snow events and multiple visits

During a prolonged storm, a single visit may not be enough to keep your driveway clear.

  • Reactivating routes: If snow continues to fall over an extended period, LawnGuru may reactivate AutoPlow routes to provide additional clearings.

  • Pay-per-service: Please note that billing is per visit. Providers are compensated for each clearing, and customers are charged on a pay-per-service basis for every visit completed.

  • Opting out: If you do not want an additional clearing during a multi-day event, you can Skip the service at any time through the LawnGuru app before the provider arrives.

Potential delays

In some extreme weather events, service may not be possible until the storm has fully cleared. Factors that can impact timing include:

  • Visibility and safety: Providers may need to wait for blizzard conditions to subside before they can safely operate equipment on the roads.

  • State of emergency: Local travel bans or states of emergency may temporarily halt all service.

  • Accumulation depth: In cases of extreme snowfall, providers may need to adjust their equipment or approach, which can take additional time.

Our commitment to you

While it is impossible to guarantee immediate service during a natural disaster or severe weather event, we can guarantee that our support team and network of providers will do everything in their power to get your property cleared as quickly and safely as possible.
