Service issues and refund policy
At LawnGuru, we want to ensure you are satisfied with every service. If something isn't right, please follow the guidelines below so we can resolve the issue quickly.
Reporting a service issue
If you are unhappy with the quality of a service, please email support@lawnguru.co with photos of the issue. To help us assess the situation accurately, your photos must be clear and show the service area in relation to the property.
Lawn Service claims: Must be submitted within 48 hours of completion.
Snow Service claims: Must be submitted within 24 hours of completion.
Note: Per our Terms of Use, providers must be given the opportunity to return and correct an issue before a payment reversal can be considered.
Cancellation and skip policy
Skipping a visit: You can skip a recurring service through the app, but this must be done at least 24 hours before your scheduled service date.
Canceling recurring service: Skipping a visit does not cancel your plan. To fully cancel a recurring service, please contact LawnGuru Support.
Additional services (Mulch, etc.): Once materials (like plants or mulch) have been purchased for a special project, the service can no longer be canceled.
When refunds are not granted
LawnGuru is unable to issue refunds in the following scenarios:
Preparation issues: The provider could not complete work due to locked gates, pets outdoors, active sprinklers, or obstacles on the lawn.
Late claims: The issue was reported outside of the 48-hour (lawn) or 12-hour (snow) windows.
Weather delays: Service has started but is temporarily paused due to weather.
Misrepresentation: The property size or grass length (overgrowth) was misrepresented during the order process.
Snow staking: Driveways were not correctly staked for snow clearing.
User error: The service ordered (e.g., a one-time mow) was confused with a different service desired (e.g., a full cleanup).
Damage claims
While LawnGuru is not liable for damages per our Terms of Use, if a resolution or reimbursement is offered by a support representative, you have 7 days to claim it. After 7 days, the claim will be closed and cannot be reopened.
