How do I cancel lawn service?
If you need to end your service agreement, you can do so directly through the LawnGuru app. To ensure a smooth experience and avoid unnecessary charges, please review our cancellation guidelines below.
How to cancel in the app
Tap My Service in the bottom navigation bar.
Tap the Manage button on the service card you wish to end.
Tap the Options (•••) button.
Select Cancel Service.
Select your reason for canceling and tap the green arrow (>) to confirm.
Cancellation fees and policies
Advanced Notice: To avoid any fees, please cancel at least 24 hours before your next scheduled visit.
On My Way Fee: If you cancel after a provider has already marked themselves as "On My Way," a cancellation fee will be applied to compensate the pro for their time and fuel.
In-Progress: Once a job has been started by a provider, it cannot be canceled.
Service Minimums: Weekly services are offered at a discounted rate and require a 2-cut minimum before they can be canceled. If you have extenuating circumstances and need to cancel before two services are completed, please contact LawnGuru Support.
Other options: Skipping vs. Pausing
Before you cancel, consider if one of these alternatives better fits your needs:
Skip a Service: If you only need to miss one visit (e.g., you're hosting an event or the grass hasn't grown), you can Skip an appointment. Your schedule will automatically resume as normal the following week.
Pause Service: If you are finished for the season or going away for a while, Pausing is the best move. It allows you to:
Lock in your current pricing and avoid future price increases.
Keep the same service provider when you are ready to resume.
Prevent having to set up your account details again later.
